Agilix’s AI tutor is leveling up K-12 learning

Agilix Labs has partnered with NorthStar Academy to integrate its AI teaching assistant, BusyBee, into the K-12 programs, aiming to enhance the learning experience with cutting-edge technology built on Amazon Bedrock.

NorthStar Academy, an accredited online Christian school serving grades 4-12 globally, has chosen BusyBee for its ability to provide instant, personalized feedback and reduce administrative workload, allowing educators to focus on meaningful student interactions. Stephanie Shafer, Executive Director at NorthStar Academy, notes that BusyBee is transforming how teachers teach and students learn.

BusyBee offers several key features, including:

  • Just-in-time tutoring assistance: providing immediate support to students
  • AI-powered grading support: assisting teachers with grading tasks
  • Assessment generation tools: helping create customized assessments
  • Intelligent student feedback: offering personalized feedback to students
  • Customized support strategies: tailoring support to individual students’ needs

Early results from the implementation show a significant reduction in administrative tasks, increased one-on-one student interaction, strong adoption rates across grade levels, and enhanced assessment efficiency. Curt Allen, CEO of Agilix Labs, praises NorthStar Academy’s forward-thinking approach to education technology, saying their commitment to excellence aligns with Agilix Labs’ mission.

The partnership includes full integration of BusyBee across all NorthStar Academy programs, customized AI training for faculty and staff, ongoing support and optimization, and regular performance analytics and insights. Teachers can access BusyBee features directly through their existing Buzz platform.
