Electronic Arts has officially announced that Battlefield 6 will receive a free-to-play battle royale mode titled “Battlefield: RedSec,” launching today, October 28. This confirmation follows weeks of leaks and speculation surrounding a standalone battle royale experience for the latest entry in the franchise.
Battlefield: RedSec will be available as a free download for everyone, meaning players do not need to own the main Battlefield 6 game to jump in. This strategy positions RedSec as a direct competitor to Activision’s highly successful free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone.
Eyes up.
