Charizard is one of the all-time greats when it comes to Pokemon — a true OG that even new franchise fans make their favorite.
While Charizard hasn’t always been the best battling buddy in the physical TCG, Pokemon TCG Pocket gives it new life, making it a go-to pick for a lot of Trainers.
Here, we’ll be focusing on the ex variant of the card, revealing what the best Charizard ex deck is, hopefully giving you more victories.
What is the best Charizard ex deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket?Charizard ex is obviously the focus of the deck we’re going to reveal but there are some Pokemon that are required to make it work to its fullest potential.
First off, there’s basically no point in playing this deck unless you’re also using Moltres ex. This is due to the fact that its Inferno Dance attack looks to generate a possible three Fire Energy each turn, integral to making Charizard’s Crimson Storm attack a reality.
Additionally, with the introduction of the Mythical Island pack, there’s a new pool of cards to choose from that can enhance the deck further.
Mew ex is a possible choice here, and the route we’d suggest going down since its Genome Hacking attack can also utilize Moltres ex’s Inferno Dance while countering any faster decks such as Mewtwo ex.
Here is the full Charizard ex deck list we recommend so you can get to building it:
As you can see, alongside Mew ex we’ve thrown in Kangaskan just in case you need to stall a little, coupled with Leaf to get those higher retreat cost cards back onto your bench.
If you get a little lucky with the Inferno Dance coin flips you should be good to get Charizard ex into the battle pretty quickly, decimating those that lie in wait.
