BetMGM signs poker pro Abby Merk as brand ambassador

Partnerships between professional poker players are not a new phenomenon but BetMGM is bridging the gap between the traditional model by signing someone who is not only an industry name but also has a growing online following.

The player in question here is Abby Merk who is being brought on as an official BetMGM Poker ambassador and content partner.

Merk, who is both a pro poker player and content creator, will represent the brand at live poker events hosted at MGM Resorts International properties and create exclusive digital content across social media platforms.

The 24-year-old Chicago-based pro has built a significant online presence, amassing over 100,000 followers on YouTube and Instagram, and was recently named Rising Star in Content Creation at the February 2025 Global Poker Awards.

Merk was initially working in the finance industry but transitioned to professional poker, where her engaging style has resonated with a broad audience.

Accompanied by her talent for poker, her content aims to share insights into the game, strategy discussions, and behind-the-scenes tournament experiences.
