DATE POSTED:July 7, 2025

Freightos and Seko Logistics are expanding their partnership to improve the speed and accuracy of multimodal shipments worldwide.

Seko is scaling its use of Freightos’ 7LFreight and WebCargo forwarder solutions, the companies said in a Monday (July 7) news release, unifying air and ground rate management and booking across Seko’s international network.

The expanded partnership is based on regional success with 7LFreight in the U.S. and has become a standardized quoting and booking workflow across both air and ground shipping, according to the release. These tools are available directly within Seko’s transportation management system.

Through the partnership, Seko users can access live airfreight pricing from over 70 airlines, as well as air, less than truckload (LTL) and cartage rates from Seko’s contracted carriers and a network of over 150 LTL and 3,000 cartage providers, according to the release.

“As our operations grow more complex and customer expectations accelerate, having centralized, real-time visibility across both air and ground has never been more critical,” Justin Horwitz, director of domestic product strategy at Seko, said in the announcement. “By integrating Freightos’ suite into our pricing and booking workflows, we’re streamlining access to carrier rates and standardizing charge logic across regions.”

Zvi Schreiber, CEO and founder of Freightos, said the partnership optimizes freight movement.

“By integrating Freightos’ pricing and booking solutions across SEKO’s worldwide operations, we’re demonstrating how forwarders can simplify complexity and unlock new levels of efficiency and service,” Schreiber said.

Manufacturers are struggling with shipping challenges amid an uncertain economic environment, PYMNTS reported Tuesday (July 1).

The sector as a whole recorded its fourth straight month of decline in June, PYMNTS reported, citing data from the Institute of Supply Management. According to that data, input costs paid by the manufacturers, including raw materials and components, became more expensive amid inflationary pressures.

However, PYMNTS noted that faster payments and external working capital solutions can help manufacturing firms get through the uncertainty.

Over half of the suppliers surveyed by PYMNTS said they were paid late, but 92% of manufacturers said that real-time payments to their suppliers helped improve these relationships. Additionally, 84% of firms that received those instant payments said the same thing about cementing strong relationships with their counterparts.
