Marvel Rivals Spring Festival Clash of Dancing Lions mode explained
Most games of today take inspiration from those that have come before it and with Marvel Rivals, it’s going full Avengers, bringing in parts of different titles to make a full Infinity Gauntlet experience.
The obvious Overwatch comparisons are there but in the latest update, the developers have brought another mode into the fray — Clash of Dancing Lions — which looks to imitate mechanics of the highly successful Rocket League.
Here, we’ll take a deeper look into Clash of Dancing Lions, revealing what it’s all about and why you should at least try it out.
What is Clash of Dancing Lions in Marvel Rivals?As previously mentioned, Clash of Dancing Lions is a brand new mode introduced with The Spring Festival which brings together the hero system and elements of Rocket League.
If you’re thinking this looks familiar — and not just because of Rocket League — you’d be spot on.
That’s because way back in 2016 Blizzard added something very similar to Overwatch — Lucio Ball — albeit in a first person perspective.
In this Marvel Rivals variant, you’ll be able to play as Iron Fist, Star-Lord, or Black Widow, as you compete against others to score the most goals.
There is one map available for Clash of Dancing Lions — World Arena — which is situated in Wakanda akin to that of the standard game modes.
If you’re not exactly thrilled with what mechanics this mode brings, you should at least give it a run out.
It is tied with the Fortune & Colors event which has various missions and challenges related to Clash of Dancing Lions which, if completed, get you closer to the Lion’s Mane Star-Lord skin.
Plus, if you finish all there is in Fortune & Colors, you’ll also receive the special Gallery Card.
It’s not explicitly stated but since Clash of Dancing Lions is a themed mode, it may only be available for a limited time.
The Spring Festival lasts until February 14, 2025, so get in and test the gameplay out before it potentially gets removed for some time, maybe even forever!
