Metal Gear Solid Delta PC System Requirements – how well will you be able to run it?

Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is still some way out from landing with an arrival set for the end of August (the 28th) this year. This, however, is the first indicator of the kind of required system specifications ahead of that key date. This gives us an idea of the kind of rig we will need to have in order to play this latest Snake game to anything like its potential.

At this stage, it is the most basic of lists, but should give you enough pre-warning as to whether it is finally time to get a new video card – and if it is a new 5000-series, time to check it is not faulty and return it, and a better storage solution

Metal Gear Solid Delta PC System Requirements

Here are all the System Requirements Konami has given us. There isn’t any great level of detail, just the bog-standard Minimum and Recommended. We like it more when companies, as they are doing more frequently, give us better breakdowns of the levels of graphic fidelity we can expect.

The standout spec here is perhaps the 100GB of SSD space, which pretty much looks like you will need. The other stats are not that onerous. Read on for a full breakdown of what it all means.

Requirement Minimum Recommended Operating System Windows 10, Windows 11 (64-bit OS required) Windows 10, Windows 11 (64-bit OS required) Processor Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Intel i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory 16 GB RAM 16 GB RAM Graphics RTX 2060 Super (8GB) RTX 3080 DirectX Version 12 Version 12 Storage 100 GB available space 100 GB available space Additional Notes SSD recommended SSD recommended What this means

These specs mean that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will require a fairly powerful PC, even at minimum settings. With an RTX 2060 Super and an Intel i5-8600, you should get playable performance, likely around 1080p at medium settings. However, to fully experience the game as intended, the recommended specs (RTX 3080 and i7-8700K) suggest aiming for higher resolutions (1440p or even 4K) with better textures, lighting, and frame rates. The 16GB RAM requirement is pretty much standard these days, while the 100GB storage demand (with an SSD recommended) hints at high-quality assets and longer loading times on slower drives.
