New AMD CPUs and GPUs come with free Monster Hunter Wilds
What could possibly be more fun than going out into an untamed wilderness, slaughtering dozens of terrifying creatures, then eating them and wearing their skin? Nothing! Which is probably why Monster Hunter Wilds is currently number one with a bullet arrow made from dragon fangs on the Steam charts even before it’s out. And if you buy some new gear from AMD, you can get it for free.
The latest freebie game for CPU and graphics card buyers is Capcom’s hotly-anticipated sequel to Monster Hunter: World. AMD will give you a free game code if you buy one of the following Ryzen CPUs:
- Ryzen 9 9950X
- Ryzen 9 9900X
- Ryzen 7 9700X
- Ryzen 5 9600X
- Ryzen 9 7950X
- Ryzen 9 7900X
- Ryzen 7 7700X
- Ryzen 7 7700
Or Radeon graphics cards:

- RX 7900 XT
- RX 7800 XT
- RX 7700 XT
Though AMD has generously extended the promotion to a few older AM5 processors, you might notice a few conspicuous absences on these lists. The X3D processors with extra 3D V-cache to boost gaming capabilities are nowhere to be seen — neither the crazy-popular Ryzen 7 7800X3D nor its successor the 9800X3D, and not the yet-to-be-released 9950X3D and 9900X3D, either.
I suppose AMD thinks those chips can sell themselves… and based on how quickly they disappear from shelves, they’re right. There’s no mention of the upcoming Radeon RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT graphics cards, either, though of course those could be added later.
You can also grab a freebie if you pick up a new gaming laptop with AMD guts featuring the Ryzen AI 9 300, AI Max, 8000, 7000HX, or 7000HX3D processors. Here are the eligible laptop models:
