Sony reveals 4 free games for PS Plus subscribers starting March 3

Sony announced the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for March, making titles available across all subscription tiers starting March 3. Players who download the games retain access as long as their subscription remains active. The March catalog includes Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road, and PGA Tour 2K25. Subscribers must download departing titles before March 2.

Monster Hunter Rise originates from a Nintendo Switch exclusive release before expanding to other platforms. The game emphasizes verticality, employing wirebug tools to scale cliffs and execute aerial combat maneuvers. Players may engage in solo hunts or join four-person squads for cooperative play. The core loop involves hunting monsters, gathering materials, and upgrading weapons and armor.

Slime Rancher 2 arrived on consoles last year following an early access period. This sequel expands on the original’s mechanics of capturing and farming diverse slimes. It introduces a fresh location for exploration and a substantial number of new slime varieties. The gameplay allows players to vacuum dozens of slimes simultaneously.

The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road serves as the definitive edition of the MMO. It provides access to all zones, biomes, and quest arcs within the game. The setting occurs 1,000 years before the events of Skyrim, allowing exploration of many iconic locations from that era. The collection supports cooperative play and includes a significant amount of player-versus-player content.

PGA Tour 2K25 represents the latest entry in the golf simulation series. It features an expanded solo mode and includes a course designer tool for custom creations. The title supports cross-platform play, enabling competition across different systems. This addition rounds out the monthly selection with a sports simulation option.

Subscribers have until March 2 to download the departing titles leaving the service. The games leaving the catalog are Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. After this date, these titles will no longer be available through the PlayStation Plus subscription service.
