As you’re making your way through the Exclusion Zone in Stalker 2, you’ll be wanting to pick up as many resources as possible to aid you in survival.
Naturally, weapons will be the ideal find since you’ll need a bunch of gear to fend off the constant incoming threats.
But what happens when those weapons break? Here, we’ll be discussing what can be done with broken weapons in Stalker 2 so you know if they’re junk or if they can be salvaged.
What are broken weapons in Stalker 2?Broken weapons are any essentially guns that have been used long enough that they have degraded and are now in need of repair.
You know a weapon is broken because it will have an icon next to the gun that looks like a broken red shield.
Additionally, if you inspect the weapon further, you should be able to see that the durability is in the red with a very low percentage.
What to do with broken weapons in Stalker 2So, if you’ve used your weapons so much that they’re broken, or have found some in the world, what should you do with them?
Well, you have two real options – repair them or simply throw them away.
Looking first at repairing, you can do this at any Technician, and you’ll be able to use the weapons once again.
However, we strongly recommend you don’t do this as it is incredibly expensive compared to the resale value, so you’re essentially throwing your cash down the drain.
The only exception to this is if you really want to use the broken weapon. If this is the case, repair and use it for as long as you can to get the value.
Moving to throwing them away, the reason we say this is that broken weapons cannot be sold to any vendor so if you’re not planning on repairing them, they’re just unnecessary weight in your inventory.
Before you do drop the broken weapons though, ensure you unload any ammo in the magazines as these are free bullets that could be key to your survival.
