WWE Money in the Bank and Worlds Collide odds & analysis

Tags: money new
DATE POSTED:June 4, 2025

Money in the Bank airs this Saturday, with a special AAA/WWE crossover show on YouTube just a few hours before. Since we last took a look at WWE odds, the company has been busy. Its purchase of AAA has begun to take shape properly, as this will be the first show under the new banner.

However, the main attraction, Money in the Bank, is what a lot of people will be focusing on. Who will be tied to the briefcase for the next few weeks and potentially months? Let’s break it all down.

WWE Money in the Bank analysis

This is not gambling advice. ReadWrite is not affiliated with any gambling providers on this article.

Money in the Bank (MitB) is always a favorite, but this year, it’s a tricky one to pinpoint who will win. MitB is often where the next big project for creative gets that step up, with last year’s resulting in huge pushes for Damien Priest (went on a brief World Heavyweight run) and Iyo Sky (current Women’s Champ).

The betting houses appear to be gathering behind “El Grande Americano”, which is Chad Gable’s luchadore alter ego. One idea floated by fans is that if he wins, he’ll go on to bother AAA with cash-ins, as the character is trying to become the best in lucha. It’s all horribly done so far, with typical defenders of the vaguely Trump-leaning gimmick, but Gable is slated to wrestle in Worlds Collide before Money in the Bank.

However, as Americano has won several of his matches due to cheating in recent weeks, it could be a fudged finish for the briefcase.

El Grande Americano & Roxanne Perez favored to win Money in the Bank

I doubt that Seth Rollins or LA Knight will win here, as neither particularly needs a belt to stay over. Rollins is on his latest heel run, forming a group alongside Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed.

However, it’s clearly in its warming-up phase, and I’d doubt that Triple H and WWE creative would plop the MitB briefcase on Rollins, especially as he’s been involved with the match and shenanigans far more than others on the roster in recent years.

Interesting options here are Solo Sikoa and Penta, both of which have been featured frequently on TV recently. Sikoa is in desperate need of a major win to solidify himself as his own, with his enforcer gimmick languishing in recent months. Penta, of course, being from Mexico, could eek out a win if they don’t go all in on the Americano joke.

The women’s Money in the Bank match is equally hard to pinpoint where WWE will go. Do they stick with old faithfuls or begin a push into something new? Paddy Power is all behind Roxanne Perez at 2/1, who beat out Becky Lynch and Natalya in her qualifying match.

Lynch is currently one of the top stars in the entire WWE – regardless of gender – and beating her is a decent indication that WWE is trying to grow its women wrestlers outside of the usual suspects.

Again, most of the participants in this match just don’t need to carry a gimmick around with them to gain notoriety. Stephanie Vaquer, WWE’s latest hot star from NXT, is pretty much carrying herself with her “unique” moveset and look.

Second Women’s MitB winner, Alexa Bliss, again, doesn’t need to carry the briefcase, and Rhea Ripley appears to be in the “cool off” period after her WrestleMania championship feud with Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair.

Giulia and Naomi aren’t expected to make much of a splash in this match. However, this isn’t due to unfair creativity from my perspective. Naomi is feuding with Jade Cargill, with the pair ruining matches for each other since Elimination Chamber, and Giulia is fresh on the main roster scene.

Expect the expected with Cena and Logan Paul match

On the subject of Lynch vs Lyra Valkyria, my personal hope is that Valkyria wins this and thrusts Lynch away from the title scene for a while. The match stipulates that if Lynch loses, she can’t contest the belt until Valkyria drops it. However, while the figures on betting sites have Lynch winning, it’d be a shame to scupper Valkyria’s current run.

In the tag team match, I’d expect Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso to come out on top over Cena and Paul. I’d also expect to see Paul carrying most of the match, as Cena’s last run seems hampered by Hollywood’s need for him not to get injured and cost them a fortune in insurance.

WWE/AAA Worlds Collide analysis

I don’t follow a lot of AAA, with the tag matches presumably destined to go either way and more for the spectacle than anything. Lucha and Japanese wrestling love to fill their shows with six-man tags and regular tag matches so that all the stars can be shown off.

Grounding the analysis in some logic, I’d expect to see a lot of AAA wrestler wins on this show. Not only does WWE want to ensure that these newly purchased wrestlers remain strong, but it will also help drive viewership once they begin to produce and publish more TV for the acquired company.

The money is behind Chad Gable for the AAA Mega Championship, with AAA’s most recent hot star, Vikingo, in need of something to chase as the premier baby face. Losing to Gable would be a sore spot, but would make for an excellent win at Triplemania a few days later in June and a potential tie-in with MitB.

Let’s all hope that El Grande Americano doesn’t cash in his potential MitB contract at AAA after Chad Gable loses.

NXT’s Je’Von Evans is in grasping distance of a title run

Also on the card is the NXT North American Championship, which appears to be favoring Rey Fenix and Je’Von Evans. While I suspect they could make the fans happy with a returning Fenix holding the belt, Evans has been in grasping distance of a major push holding a belt for months now. Evans and Page (champion) have feuded, and Evans has been involved in parts of NXT’s title scene.

Have the fans go home happy with a masked luchadore holding a WWE belt at a AAA/WWE show, or use this as a stepping stone for Evans’ obvious push from creative?

WWE Money in the Bank airs on Netflix worldwide and Peacock in the US on June 7, 7 PM ET/4 PM PT, and Worlds Collide airs before on YouTube at 3 PM ET/12 PM PT.
