ZEAL Network SE appoints new CEO Dr Stefan Tweraser
The German online provider for lottery products, ZEAL Network, announces its new CEO as the current steps away after 10 years.
The supervisory board of ZEAL Network SE has appointed Dr Stefan Tweraser as the new Chairman of the Management Board (chief executive officer). He will start his role from September 15, 2025.
Carola von Schmettow, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of ZEAL Network SE: “Dr Stefan Tweraser has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to guide market-leading companies into their next phase of development with strategic foresight, innovative ideas and a sharp eye for detail.”
The appointment followed a ‘comprehensive and structured’ selection process, with the new CEO having most recently served as CEO of Rocket Factory Augsburg AG.
The current CEO, Dr Helmut Becker, decided back in March 2025 not to extend his contract and to pursue his own entrepreneurial activities in the future. He will resign from his office on September 14 but will remain available to the company as a consultant for the remainder of his contract until the end of January 2026.
What is the ZEAL Network SE?ZEAL Network SE is a lottery technology company in Germany that uses insights, lottery expertise, and eCommerce knowledge to ‘define the future of lottery.’
It is an online provider to state-licensed lottery products like Lotto 24, Tipp24, Zeal, Freiheit, and more. It also has partnerships with state lotteries and charities.
In 2024, the company had a market share of 43.8% which is a large increase since 2013, when it had 12%. Last year, its revenue increased by a massive 62% which was driven by billings growth of 28% and an increased billings margin.
