These are some awesome discounts across large storage flash drives! If you want the best price for the most storage, then getting the Move Speed YID makes perfect sense. If you’d rather go for a smaller capacity but faster read/write speeds, you may want to go for the Kingston DataTraveler Max.

While the SanDisk Extreme Pro discount looks great on paper, the top price we’ve actually seen in the past year has been $170. So while the discount is still impressive, and we’d buy this drive ourselves, it’s not as large as Amazon wants us to think.

If you’re going to use the flash drive to move sensitive files around, you may also want to look into getting one that offers encryption. Some thumb drives will offer 128-bit AES encryption, while others will offer 256-bit. Drives that offer the 256-bit encryption options are better protected, as the key can be more complicated, but 128-bit encryption will do just fine as well. Both encryption standards are considered to be practically impossible to crack.
