Betway, the sports gambling brand has announced that Chelsea FC will be added to their roster as the club’s official European gambling partner.

The brand is owned by Super Group, the parent company, and global gambling umbrella for multiple sports clubs, brands, and games of chance.

Chelsea announced on their website, that Betway is now the London football team’s “new long-term Official European Betting Partner.”

Chelsea announces Betway partnership

Casper Stylsvig, chief revenue officer at Chelsea Football Club, said, “We are pleased to welcome Betway as our Official European Betting Partner. Their commitment to creating engaging and memorable experiences for fans aligns perfectly with our values at Chelsea.”

Chelsea are currently rebuilding after the departure of Mauricio Pochettino and the incoming of former Man City, and Pep Guardiola understudy, Enzo Maresca.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with the two-time UEFA Champions League winners and the five-time Premier League champions. An amazing achievement. Chelsea is a truly global club with a hugely successful history,” said Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group.

Chelsea has a busy summer of transfers

The 2021 Champions League winners had a busy trade window, known as the Transfer Window, where clubs can make additions and sales of players for a limited period. Big names coming in included Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Joao Felix.

Club legend and former AC Milan defensive bulwark Thiago Silva bid farewell to the club to head home to his native Brazil and Fluminense. Conor Gallagher, the England and former Crystal Palace loanee set his sights on a move to Spain and Athletico Madrid.

The biggest move out of the club was Raheem Sterling on loan to London rivals Arsenal. Sterling has now played for some of the biggest clubs in England and adds the Premier League runners-up to his resume.

One of the biggest new editions will be Betway, who will give fans of Chelsea and those who sign up for their gambling offerings “rewards, such as meet-and-greets with players, pitch-side tours, and the chance to play on the iconic Stamford Bridge pitch.” The gambling brand will also be emblazoned on the Stamford Bridge LED advertising boards for all domestic games as part of the deal.

Menashe concluded, “This partnership is a super opportunity for Betway to expand its brand and to reward our loyal customers and engage with football fans in new and thrilling ways. We are super excited to work alongside this club.”
