Mid-December caused a flurry of excitement when the new co-op spin-off to Elden Ring – Nightreign – was announced at The Game Awards.
At the time it became clear that there would be a series of Network Tests that would allow FromSoftware to carry out some essential research into how the game plays, while also giving players a chance to grab a sneaky first look at what’s in store for them when they return to The Lands Between.
We covered all this back then, but time flies and we are now just a few hours away, at the time of writing, for the registration window to take part in the Network Test open for real. Wow, something in the games industry that hasn’t been delayed, wonders will never cease.
The Test itself will begin on Valentine’s Day (sorry wife) and will run for several days across different sessions on the various dates.
When is the Nightreign Network Test? There is an official page for the Network Test you may want to keep an eye on although there’s not much on there right now, but we are sure it will get filled out with the exact times around the world as the days progress.

So far the only info on there reads:
“The network test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch.
Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests.”
But we will update this if things change later on so as not to cause confusion.
