How to get Ascendancy Skill Points in Path of Exile 2

While the base classes are a fun affair in Path of Exile 2, just like in the first PoE, you’re able to boost these further using Ascendancies.

You will need Ascendancy Skill Points to do this though and if you haven’t found out yet, these are limited and hard to come by.

Here, we’ll be taking a look at how to get all of the available PoE 2 Ascendancy Points in early access so you have the full range of abilities at your disposal.

How to get all Ascendancy Skill Points in PoE 2 early access

As previously mentioned, Ascendancy Skill Points are integral for fine-tuning and progressing the Ascendancy class you choose for your character.

The way you secure Ascendancy Skill Points in Path of Exile 2 is by completing the aptly named Ascension Trials.

There are two of these in early access and they’re not for the faint-hearted so make sure you’re bringing your A-game if you want to complete them.

The first of the Trials is the Trial of Sekhemas which you’re introduced to in Act 2 of the game and after making your way through the twists and turns, ultimately defeating the boss at the end, you’ll be rewarded with two Ascendancy Skill Points.

The second Trial on offer is the Trial of Chaos which presents itself in Act 3, the final Act of early access content.

Again, this one is really tough to complete but since you’re in the last phase of the early access experience, you should know the core mechanics of staying alive by now.

After completing this Trial, you’ll be rewarded again with two Ascendancy Skill Points.

This brings the total so far to four and since there is a maximum of eight Ascendancy Points to acquire, where do you get the rest?

Well, you basically have to run these Trials again but in Cruel once after completing all three Acts.

After progressing through the Acts and completing the Trials again, you’ll have all the available Ascendancy Points to dump into your Ascendancy Class and move into the endgame.
