Spotify is rolling out a new “Upcoming Releases” hub designed to help users discover and anticipate new music. The hub, announced Wednesday, delivers personalized recommendations based on a user’s listening history and is accessible via the Search tab, within the “Browse all” section on mobile.
A key feature of the Upcoming Releases hub is that it highlights the top 10 most anticipated albums globally, ranked by the number of pre-saves. Users can pre-save upcoming releases directly through the hub, and will receive a push notification on the release date. The released albums are then automatically added to their library.
Beyond pre-saving, the hub provides “Countdown Pages” for upcoming albums and singles. These pages offer users a look at the track list, as well as merchandise and clips from the artists. The intention is to enhance music discovery and give users a convenient way to stay on top of releases that align with their interests.

According to Spotify, the new hub aims to provide a more streamlined experience for both artists and listeners, providing increased exposure for artists and a more efficient way for users to track and engage with the music they’re excited about. The platform’s design aims to make keeping track of new music easier and more enjoyable for users, while simultaneously offering a valuable marketing tool for artists to showcase their work.
